I went for a long walk through the Fife countryside today. The weather was just right for it. Cool but not cold. I didn’t see very much by way of wildlife as I was staying to the main paths. Although at one point a friendly dog came bounding over to greet me until being called back harshly by his owner. I also came across a field with some rather lovely horses, pictured below.
As I stopped to take some photos of them they became curious about me too. They all came lolloping – as I believe that gait is called – over before chomping away at the hedge and looking at me, perhaps thinking that I had some food to offer them. Sadly for them this was not the case. The cheese and onion sandwich in my bag would not have stretched far anyway, even if I had wanted to give it to them.
